Re: Musician thrown off train
I imagine the next businessman overheard caught talking about hostile takeovers will be given a haircut a la Menezes, just in case.

Re: Musician thrown off train
It does bring to mind the thought police/big brother.
Oh and I'm screwed if this is the future as I always try to act suspicously on trains, it usually stops someone who is wierd sitting next to you!!! You never see two nutters sat next to each other.

What a weird choice of forum name...Did you somehow manage to join ARRSE by mistake when entering a website URL?

Re: Musician thrown off train
They're worse than the Stasi. The Stasi was an official organisation expressly designed to make sure that everybody toed the line in their oppressive regime. That was their job, however distasteful we may find it.

As if any potential terrorist who takes himself seriously is going to sit there making a list that any passer-by can read. It's just a case of a couple of wannabes overreaching themselves. The pretentious, self-important prats should be given the elbow forthwith!

His band should be lined up and shot for the musical abortions they were going to play, what a load of sh*te, that's the worst set list I've heard.

How is it anything to do with the government? It was private security company employees on a privatised rail company's train.

The rise of the Jobsworth, the petty official, the Authorised Person. Nothing to do with the Government of course.

Very glad I wont be going to Farnborough by train from Thiefrow airport next time I am in UK. The fact that I will have a mine detector and a magnetometer in my baggage is sure to get me arrested.

Re: Musician thrown off train
Last time I went on a train I was carrying a long plastic case with the words 'Steyr Mannlicher' embossed on the side. The Guard asked me to 'put your guitar case on the luggage rack, mate' and strolled on.
If, however, I had had a bit of paper with the word 'gun' on it, I might have been in trouble.

I was going to make some witty response about "railway tracks" or "train tracks" but then I thought "Fcuk it..."

Daddy-pig says "Snoort!"
They used to say if an infinite number of chimps typed we would get the works of Shakespeare, the internet has proved this is NOT the case...

Am I the only one who feels that regardless of what the lad was doing, it was none of their fcuking business what he was doing as long as he wasn't doing anything to break the law.
Are we to now always tell anyone enquiring exactly what we are doing and prove that we are doing no wrong.
Jesus fcuking wept, and even some of the replies above are trying to justify it!Before you criticise someone, try walking a mile in their shoes... that way, when you do criticise them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes!

I wonder what he did for an encore?
I bought a military watch. It didn't tell me the time, it told me to get my hair cut.

Why should they treat a Muslim any differently? The truth is that they wouldn't but you do like to peddle your petty racist agenda don't you?
