Soldier rejected from British Army wins top FFL Medal

Cool.
I had to post it before fantassin did...
I love the way that our rejects are the best toms in the French Army... but seriously, well done him."However proletarian and semiliterate he may have been, the English soldier, well nourished with meat and beer, stimulated with gin, and convinced of his own racial superiority to the foreign rabble he had to face, was a magnificent combatant, as anyone who has ever seen hooligans in action at a soccer match can readily imagine."

So thats where Andrew Ridgely went when he left WHAM!

"You have to admire this man's utter determination. One way or another he was always going to find a way to kill foreigners without going to jail."

Chap I worked with in Africa got the Croix de Guerre from the FFL after the Brits turned him down due to GBH conviction. We miss some pearlers.
For those who don't know about that award, it is the one that was once awarded to a pigeon. The term bugle originates from the French word bugleret, which was derived from the Latin buculus, meaning young bull.
