Re: Jimmy Carr Mocks Limbless Soldiers On Stage.
How is this outraging?
He makes jokes like this all the time, about a wide range of people.
You know what you are going to see, when you see him. Admittedly hte timing might be a bit off.
Ever thought it could be a compliment in a cack handed way?

Re: Jimmy Carr Mocks Limbless Soldiers On Stage.
The problem with jokes is the fact that when people are making fun of people who are less able than themselves it hurts and i personally know that.

That is pretty much what I was thinking. More of a compliment than an insult.

Re: Jimmy Carr Mocks Limbless Soldiers On Stage.
I thought it was a cracking comment and far better than his usual 'jokes'.
As said earlier in the thread: if said in the NAAFI it would have got the usual idiots posting lots of "ROFL". Comedy often works best when there is an element of truth in the core.Bluffing my ticket on six continents.

Totally agree, I am sure most of the amputees would find it funny.

Get a fecking grip, its comedy, its black and its fecking true.

I thought it was quite funny - FFS he takes the psis out of people with limbs too; there's no arm in it.

Re: Jimmy Carr Mocks Limbless Soldiers On Stage.
1. Good joke.
2. Probably "stolen" on a visit to Selley Oak.
3. Typical NAAFI Bar comment.
4. Usefully reminds the public of the wounded.
5. Jimmy Carr is a twat.Using a feather is erotic. Using the whole chicken is a perversion.

Re: Jimmy Carr Mocks Limbless Soldiers On Stage.
I don't mind the joke, it's not really offensive. It's just that it was said by Jimmy Carr, who is about as funny as piles.
If it was said by any other 'comedian', I'm sure there wouldn't have been a reaction on here.Could you please take a look at my JustGiving page and if you can, please donate a few quid. Thank you. My JustGiving page.

Jesters exist to say the unsayable. Allow them to silence the comedians and none of us are free to speak.
This outrage from politicians is a cynical move. Resist it.
