You mean the top cover, and the back doors open?
No, we were posh when I returned to theatre. Real Aircon. It didn't really work unless you were a driver or mounted to the "Radio" brackets but it was loud enough to keep a corpse awake.

    Quite.

Also, the muted, yet musical 'glug-glug-glug-glug' as the first glass is poured from a bottle of really good red.

SLR again- the BARK-ching-clang as the weapon fires, ejects and chambers rounds

The smell of a Paraffin Budgie (sea king)

The noise of a 1 ton landrover

    Fa nny farts

No duff no duff no duff this is not a drill coming over the air

Green goddess at max revs 30mph going up hill

Fat albert landing max reverse thrust known there may be blueys in the back for you

And to march to. If you simply have to drill, a brass band just isn't the same.

The whine and rumble of a Chally 2 as I lay on my camp cot, off to dissuade the locals from badness.

The opening bars of 'British Grenadiers' counting furiously under my breath '...13, 14, onetwo!' followed inevitably by the AcSM pacesticking some unfortunate in the chest as they messed up yet again.

The Gael played on the bagpipes (from Last of the Mohicans)

The soft pop of a bottle of wine being opened, followed by the rich glug as you fill her glass, then yours.
Force has no place where there is need of skill.

Clearly a man who could lead a procurement team.

    ...back on the subject

Opening the para doors to put the steps out.
Vulcan on afterburners going overhead at low level
Bedford tailgates dropping at the end of a road move.
Current firearms legislation is preventing a great many guilty parties from retiring to their study and doing the decent thing.
