I wouldn't know anything much about the West Coast cos I work on the East Coast. And considering the quality of jobs I'm qualified for, it could be worse.

And why do you think I'm joining the TA? I'm planning on a tour and if I enjoy it I may go reg. If not, it's not the end of the world. NR may suck in many ways (believe me on that!) but they support the TA quite well.

As a squaddie you get discounted rail travel and even free rail warrants when on duty - sign up or be forever doomed to carry a tartan thermos flask and tupperware sandwich box.
