Hi zulu-uhlu,
well he did a few courses before pitching up on his BPC. You are correct on the 'P' Coy dimension as you well know better than I. I reckon that having the late great Knobby Arnold as RSM of PCAU when HRH arrived on one of his earlier jaunts, persuaded him that Depot Para was a place best avoided. The artist formerly known as Bob_Lawlaw

Fraid so and from an Andover as well. Spent part of the descent freeing his legs from the rigging lines. He managed to persuade some of the Buck House staff including his very nervous Equerry that it would be a good idea. This was a few years before his BPC.

It's a foil to fawning, obsequious, oleaginous and unctuous bum-lickers.

Re: Prince Charles and all those medals???
Plenty of people in the RAF, RN, RM etc wear parachute wings without having completed P Coy, if they were to go for a career change and join the Army, it is likely that they would continue to wear their wings. As Prince Charles is a member of and a Four Star at that, of all three services I think he can take whatever route he liked.

Re: Prince Charles and all those medals???
I suppose its his Mother's Army so therfore etc
it is however interesting- where could one find a similar
explanation of The Duke of Edinburghs medals- now he is a very interesting man
and Andrew and Edward's as well
