    HMS Chequers

    AND

    HMS Indefatigable
Aren't the Indians still playing with Indefatigable? Think I saw it when I was in Bombay a few years back.

Edited to add: My mistake it is HMS Hercules that they have, now called INS Vikrant.

One cannot begin to fathom the immensity of the fuck I do not give.

Jagman, or anyone else for that matter, can yopu tell me why HMS Manxman is flying a Union Jack and yet is clearly underway? I thought they were only flown when parked.

I'm no expert but apparently it is done on special occasions such as the Queens birthday

I always thought the Type 21's had pleasing lines - almost large luxury cruiser yaught style with a heli deck etc. Spent some time on my Regiments sister ship HMS Arrow and I always thought the old girl was a handsome ship:

    1. Manxman was indeed a minelayer, not a cruiser.

    2. HM Ships underway dress with masthead flags (which includes the Jack) on occasions when ships in harbour are dressed overall.

yes, the calssification is apparently a Mine Layer Cruiser.
From what I understand, basically a large Destroyer with the boilers and turbines of a cruiser.....
