If a number of the later photographs are anything to go by, then all sense of decorum went out the window as the evening of the Russian Summer Ball wore on. Shortt seems to have reverted to type as evidenced by his wandering hands.
I would love to hear the reasoning behind the organisers' decision to employ this oaf. He adds nothing to the 'event', beyond lowering the tone even more.
