Words cannot describe what Carl and his family and Sarah's loved ones are going through, despite having the pleasure of working together with both of them. Sarah, you're happy go lucky smiling face will be so sorely missed, but you will never be forgotten.

Carl, we're all thinking of you and are there at the drop of a hat if you need us. You know who and where we are. Sarah is now shining down on us, god bless ou babe

RIP Sarah. My condolences to Carl and to Sarah's family.

I have had a few PMs about this and feel that it is worth a word of warning.. I don't want to see funeral details or anything of the ilk posted on here when the time comes.

If the family decide on a military funeral, that's all you will hear from here. The rest will be up to you getting infomration from the CoC. Likewise if the family wish a private funeral - that is all you will hear on here. I don't want to see people posting details of any arrangements on the forums - the last thing they need is some journos tipping up for a quick photo op, so lets not feed them. Please remember to think of the families.

You're in training, you take shit. You get out in the world, you take more shit. You climb a little higher, you take less shit. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what shit even smells like. Welcome to the Corps, son.

Re: Corps Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

    Well said, Davros.
I want to echo everything others have said here about Sarah, who I worked with up until my departure last year. I don't think I ever saw her without that smile, no matter what was thrown her way; she was a delightful person to work with and an absolute credit to the Corps. I imagine there is nothing we can say to her husband or parents that will make them feel better, but they must know that our thoughts are with them anyway.
Since I'm a civvie now, grateful if someone could PM/e-mail me privately with anything miltary that is planned, which I would like to attend if at all possible.
