007 has finally met his match.
While he was away on an equality and diversity course an evil organisation has set out to conquer Europe. From it's secret hidout, (60 Wiertzstraat, Brussels.) the EEC sends out it's army of henchmen, usually kitted out in the modern henchmans uniform of Hivis vest and armed with the standard clipboard-of-doom, to carry out their mission to totaly destroy Western Europe.
Governments are unable to stop them because of the cost and all the red tape. (And the chance of joining them once one's political carear takes a nosedive, probably for not being able to stop them and forlooking out for number one.)
Armys are not able to stop them. (We don't have enough landing craft to invade France and the MOD travel budget doesn't run to cross channel ferry tickets.)
Bond is our only hope of salvation. Unfortunatly his Aston Martin DB9 has been clamped, His Walther PPK has been confiscated, as lethal weapons are no longer permitted on health and safety grounds and he cannot be deployed as has been confined to office work until he has completed a alcohol awareness course. (Hold the vodka martini. can I just have a fruit juice please.)If I had known then what I know now, I wouldn't have made the mistake that taught me what I know now, but didn't know then.

We need people who look to the stars, holding the nation and the world in their hearts but at the same time we need down-to-earth people who can do serious and trying work.
In a definite sense, a country's power and prestige isn't only a reflection of its economic power but also a reflection of its people's quality and morality. Moreover, I think the latter is actually more important in the long-term.

It's all very well building a secret hi-tech underground base in a volcano or under the sea but what do you do about rubbish, power and water supply?
It's difficult enough getting the bin men to do their job properly here in Shrewsbury and the lazy buggers have only got to move the bin 5 feet to the kerb.
And as for getting Severn Trent to sort out a leak on their water meter....
Also, what band would a secret base fall in for Council Tax?
Rodney2qIn the career of glory one gains many things; the gout and medals, a pension and rheumatism....all of these fatigues experienced in your youth, you pay for when you grow old. Because one has suffered in years gone by, it is necessary to suffer more, which does not seem exactly fair.

What about this chap, did it in a subtle way. Achieved head of state status, plenty of military manpower, spooks and high tech gadgets at his disposal. Got involved in two wars, amassed a small fortune then bugged out in his escape pod when the shit hit the fan, leaving his doddering henchman to take the flak.
