1 MI Bde strap-line competition!
For those who don't know, HQ 1 MI Bde recently launched a competition to find a suitable 'strap-line' for the Brigade - "a phrase, short sentence, or nifty bit of alliteration that sums up what they do and where they are going." There is a prize on offer for the best (serious) suggestion from within the Bde... whilst comedic immortality beckons for the funniest pisstake.
There is a rumour that some of the more outrageous entries may have been filtered out before reaching the judges - whether for the career preservation of the individual who wrote it, or to prevent all the Bde HQ staff topping themselves when they realise what the troops really think of them.
So, with official sanction - weapons free! Whether you just want to demonstrate your 'carriage wit', or have an anonymous snipe from behind the internet barricades... let's see what other suggestions can be rustled up, sensible or otherwise. Doesn't matter if they've already been submitted through the CoC once already - the more the merrier.
For a steer, entries thus far have included some "King and Country"-esque inspirational suggestions such as: "Experts at information and intelligence"...
whilst at the other end of the scale, there have been some suggestions which are pretty amusing, downright offensive (and for one entry - biologically impossible...)
Nothing aimed at individuals please, and no names or initials (as per normal Arrse rules). Pretty much anything else goes!

Personally, I think your sig block banner sums it up rather nicely. With a more suitable date , of course.

HQ 1 MI Bde - we somehow struggled by before them.
We need people who look to the stars, holding the nation and the world in their hearts but at the same time we need down-to-earth people who can do serious and trying work.
In a definite sense, a country's power and prestige isn't only a reflection of its economic power but also a reflection of its people's quality and morality. Moreover, I think the latter is actually more important in the long-term.

Chupe mantequilla de mi culo
Every man has a right to utter what he thinks truth, and every other man has a right to knock him down for it. Martyrdom is the test.
