    You don't get it do you. This is the real world, not the world according to Western. Stick to things you know something about...CEA's your hobbyhorse isn't it?

    Oh dear.....you really are out of touch aren't you!

    I won't add more, I'm assuming your ignorance of the subject is because you're retired. if not, you're just plain stupid, lazy, or baiting.

    Oh dear you are sensitive aren't you? Why is that I wonder? could it be that you are one of these people and you have spent many a year building up an atmosphere of mystery around what is a routine task?

    No I am not retired and yes I know quite a lot about the subject.

    or headhunted for a better job, which is part of the reason some are so open on linkedin.

    This will give you a grounding;
    ISO 27001 Information Security Management System

    Add a pinch of:
    BS 25999- Business Continuity Management Standard (not obvious but there are some useful crossovers)

    Rub vigorously with the SPF to add HMG flavour:
    Security Policy Framework | Cabinet Office

    To really emphasis that HMG taste add;
    Publications - Home

    An optional extra which is purely added if personal data is involved:
    Data Protection and Freedom of Information advice - ICO

    Then for the final MOD sauce add a liberal coating of JSP and other documents

    Place into a room with 10 security consultants and standby for 12 different results

    garnish with with generous doses of cynicism, cost cutting and failure to understand the basics by techies and you have pretty much got my daily grind weighed off!

    But it is fairly obvious that your idea of 'quite a lot' is not really that much.

    What do you base that wild assumption on?

    Both you and Matelot do not seem to like the idea that your view of yourselves is being challenged. Now that is a very common trait in people employed on IT Security tasks.

    So come back with a little substance rather that slinging barbs like a girl.

    Funny thing is your longer post above actually supports my view.

    OC 591 SU is a C-E Eng post, generally with a background in the ICT field.
