The qualifications for Pashto/Farsi are SLP 1-4, according to competency under examination, currently under the University of Westminster. Rumint has it that the accrediting board is under scrutiny and things may change.

The goalposts move with regards to competency-based bonus, but at the moment there's a taxable £12000 bonus for passing the final exams with top marks, as well as a daily rate accrued according to your final competency level.

Sorry, posting via phone threw me somewhat!

Yes, £12,000 as it stands for passing the course with SLP 4 qualifications, lesser bonuses for lesser levels. And yes, as I said, the exams are moderated and qualifications credited by the University of Westminster.

Just done MLAT and got my result today, mid 80's- briefly glanced at the DIN about a year ago but thought I wouldn't pass the test, shock horror, did it as part of CLM not a bad score.
Are they still recruiting? What's the chances of a pinch point trade getting on?

Your chances are far better if you put in an application.
I started the process with an OC's interview and flash-bang took about 18 months, due to extenuating circumstances. I know Phase 2 re-allocations are far, far quicker.
You will (I'm almost certain, but it's worth checking) have to attend and pass an INT CORPS transferee selection, which is not necessarily a mean feat.

If you want to chat to an experienced insider about the process and the job PM me and I can pass on relevant details to somebody who will happily talk you through it.

My advice would be to give it a shot if you have any interest in it. Be the best you can be and all that. The course is a long slog but if you're of the right ilk it can be extremely rewarding and enjoyable.

How many languages can you chose from? Like is it only Arabic/Pashto/Dari, or are there others?

You don't choose, they put your arrse on whichever seat is available.
You'll be on a Pashto or Farsi course, I'd hedge my bets.
