Re: Int Corps Recruiting, Familiarisation etc...
It's a RAP
Yo Reacher, I aint no preacher and I don’t intend to teacha
but if you transfer in you gotta bin your skally back persona
when you join a squad be cool and mod and not a I’ve done it all - a moaner
If you stand out bad you’ll get rejected man by the green beretted others
don’t bang on of your siggie days or you’ll be rejected by the brothers
Make sure the men with pens get clear bead on your kwalifications
So you don’t end up doing stuff with unnecessary gyrations
Bang on the desk and do ensure you don’t spend too much time in Deepoo
Waiting for dee vetting man to sort out your dodgy echo
Press dee man behind dee desk to ensure your prior time is noted
Or you will find you drop behind when others get promoted.
BE Cool man
Good Luck

Re: Int Corps Recruiting, Familiarisation etc...
If only. Truth be I've just finished 4years doctoral study and am gearing up for my viva voce (oral examination - but not by a dentist). So a little rap was a diversion, in hindsight unwise but if London Fire Brigade can do it!

Re: Int Corps Recruiting, Familiarisation etc...
I am seriosuly considering joining the corps, but after searching for ages for specific qualification requirements for the corps regarding a commision, is there any extra qualifications needed for the corps on top whats already required?
ArmyJobs is useless and I can't find anything remotely usefull on it.

Re: Int Corps Recruiting, Familiarisation etc...
I’m ready, (as usual) for all of the what do you think the answer will be? stuff and the general digs, so here goes...
Advice please on this issue; (I know your all biased, naturally) I (think) I want to try to join the Int Corps as an officer, but I’m worried that I wont get from It what I’m expecting. I’ve read every relevant page of this thread, plus all relevant threads in the 'officer' section, and every scrap of into i can find on the MOD web sites, and I cannot find the information I’m looking for. (I am unsure as to whether this is because no one can say, or whether I’m the only one daft and naive enough to ask the question.) I’m worried that there will not be the (for want of a better word) action that I crave. I know that a lot of you will instantly think "oh, boy, another disillusioned wonker wanting to be action man." To put it frankly, I want to be something else, it’s either the Int Corps or the Royal marines, for as far as I can see, they are both a cut above the rest (no ass kissing intended).
Intelligence has always been a fascination of mine, including covert operations, crawling through the mud and like practices, does this happen in the Int Corps?
I appreciate that there is a whole lot of mind numbing stuff, but, if it turns out that I would not get from the Int Corps what I want, then I would try for the Marines. I am only worried that I wouldn’t get the intellectual challenge that I also crave, and there are a lot of other aspects of the Int Corps that apeals to me also.
Thanks in advance.
Me
and yes, I know I’m a mong...
