Re: New infantry titles confirmed
Am I right in thinking that the new Battalions will get new cap badges too? Or do the seperate battalions keep their cap badges??

Re: New infantry titles confirmed
I have yet to see in print that the precedent of Regiments will not change with the disbanding and amalgamation of Regiments. My particular interest being the disbanding and merging or The Royal Scots with the Kings Own Scottish Borderers to for 1 SCOTS.
The table given on the MoD website follows the traditional precendent line - can someone confirm that this is so and 1 SCOTS will still be the 'Right of Line' (In the context of infantry, non-Household Brigade, Regiments).

Who is /was the Duke of Lancaster?
PRISTINAE VIRTUTIS MEMOR
Discipline: Discipline is the sacrifice of a man's comforts, inclinations, safety, even life for others, for something greater than himself. It is the refusal to be the weak link in the chain that snaps under pressure.

The Duke of Lancaster is the Monarch. whether a King or Queen. HM Queen Elizabeth II is the current Duke of Lancaster.
