Discuss The Royal Welsh in Infantry on The Army Rumour Service; With one of the battalions being cut wont this make it harder to get into the Royal Welsh? Also will the RW stay as 1 Battalion (reg) or merge?...

the future of any Bns single or multi Bn regts is not fixed, nothing ever is and with the draw down from the sandpits, the closure of BAOR or BFG and reduction in budgets the slashing in my opinion has only just begun.

I'm stuck between royal welsh and welsh guards. Out of personal experiance who are the more 'skilled' if that's the word in the green side of life and who have the 'higher caliber' of men if you know what I mean.
