I would get rid of all the infantry because the are a right pain in the ARRSE and if we didn't have any we couldn't commit to any stupid Ops and the rest of us could concentrate on MACC tasks, sport and adventure training. F*cking infantry spoil everything

"The Intelligence officer - or non-commissioned officer - with his enquiring mind, his refusal to accept everything at face value, and with his interest in what has happened limited to the help it will be in in estimating what is going to happen, is "different", and therefore still, to a certain extent, suspect."

Hello,
In light of the talk of redundancies I thought it might be useful to share a link on a resettlement consultation run by Labour Friends of the Forces. Firstly, to say I am actually a member of Labour Friends of the Forces, which is an organisation campaigning on behalf of the Forces community.
We are currently running a consultation on the resettlement process and how it could be improved and will publish a report with recommended changes which we hope the Government will take into consideration. You can read more about it here: Resettlement consultation | Labour Friends of the Forces. Please let me know what you think.
It would be a big help if as many service men and women who have gone through the resettlement process took part or even just left a comment.
If you want to get in touch with them directly, their contact details are available through the link I posted.

Labour (large L) and "Friends of Forces" in the same sentence, isn't that a contradiction in terms?
I normally steer clear of political comment. However it seems to me that while it is the current government doing the slashing, the requirement to butcher our armed forces and so risk our national security and place in the world order, is as a result of the previous governments over spending on welfare, etc. Please no, not the face!...
