XM-8 Rifle
The Army is opening up the competition for the replacement of the M-16/M-4. Here is an article including videos about the XM-8. While I like the weapon I think the Army needs to consider the SCAR-L [new SF rifle].

Hummm but where will you sell all those old gats to??? It shocks me to see where our old SLR's keep poping up on news reports.

Believe you may be getting confused with armies here. A vast majority of the people on ARRSE are from the British Army; believe the Americans may be buying this..........

God knows how good they are, never had a go with either.
But they do look very snazzy....I do think the post is aimed at US military, the only people likely to get those kind of things in the Brit army is the SF, who would jealously guard them and make sure the regular infantry didn't get them.....
