    Re: Chest pain

    Hello buddy,

Best to give NHS Direct a call on 0845 46 47. It might be nothing but best to check.

If you are Clammy (cold and sweaty), hurts to breathe with tightening or pains in your chest then def call them.

The likelyhood is they will put you through to an Ambulance Service but don't let that worry you too much thats just their procedure if they even sniff at something cardiac related. Remember you can tell them you don't want an ambulance if you ant to make your own way to medcen, GP, nhs walk in centre or even your nearest casualty. a quick hook upto an ECG will be all you need to know.

By the way i work for an Ambulance Service, don't take the chance fella, just get checked out.

Mate...get a doctor to listen to your heart and check you over right..NOW
    Not in the morning. Now.
Dead is dead and it's too late then. Get seen Now.
After all If it's indigestion we can chuckle together tomorrow can't we.
If it's nothing it's nothing but if your life ends because you delayed it's a pity.
I personally would be taking an aspirin on route to A + E but that's just my personal thinking and not any medical advice.

Let us know when you've been seen ok?

should this be setting panic alarms off and should I get down to A&E most ricky tick, or could it be something not so serious?
Dont fcuk about with chest pain, A+E immediately. My old man was in with chest pains two weeks ago. It could be angina, stress, panic attack, colic (I shit you not). Whatever, the Hossies advice is to get it checked out.

    Re: Chest pain

Two reasons to get down to A&E pronto.
    1. Chest pains
    2. Blood in stools.

I've had both. 1. resulted in pacemaker 2. proved negative (result of constipation and medication for 1.)

But then again I'm just a decrepit old fart (still here though!)

    Happy New Year :D

A&E found nothing to diagnose, apparently I'm fit and healthy... apart from the chest pains. Hmm.

    Could be worse eh.

    Nice one.
Now just make an appointment to see your own GP for a complete check up just to be sure.
In the meantime if the symptoms return at all just get back straight to
A+ E again pronto. Doctors are often idiots so take charge of any issues and make sure you are ok yourself.
