Dragged is the word - however I would not describe it as "just behind" - I think it took him a while to change his boots!! There were an awful lot of people behind him that's for sure, and they were not going to run round again!! Good luck on Sunday.
Aromatherapy is like going into the countryside and smelling flowers. It should be available in Parliament. They already have it in some mental hospitals - Simon Hughes
Tracey - you know perfectly well what boots I mean!! Hope the sponsorship is coming on.
Sandy - Are you going to do the 2 laps again? In 2008 I was in behind you at the finish (obviously) wondering who was mad enough to put their trainers on then run away again - Nails!! Is the turnout up again this year? 2008 was fairly big, 2009 was much bigger is 2010 huge? Have you been messing about with the route again and putting more of the steep climbs and water features in this time?

PS Scary looking does not even come close!!
Just 1 lap this time as i am the 1:50 pace man, the route is the same as it was last year and the water features are nice and high now due to the recent rain we have had here

1 hr 48 mins with only 4 training miles so I can't be too disappointed. Found it hard this year. Managed to stay ahead of Sandy and his disciples until just before the Land of Nod. I used his shiney bonce as a target to beat to the line. Going to train hard next year and beat 1.40!
Ay up postman twit according to my wrist gizmo I did it in 1hr 56,I reckon I knocked 7 mins off last years time, but I shall wait till the results come up.Thanks to Sandy and everybody else for all the great Marshalling and organization a really great day thanks.

That's cracking going for such a young gentleman! : )
Good marshalling? We could have had them RMP and most of you at anytime at the crossings, and the Duke of Lancs were too busy stopping me getting my Cheeseburger Happy Meal for 3/4hrs of an hour so I didn't see you come in. I seriously wanted to laugh at Sandy for being beaten by women.
Well done to everyone who took part, we did come and have a look, and - yes - saw all the mums and dads and families, and I hope you raised a lot of dosh.
(I was the leper in the pink Hols4Heroes t-shirt if anyone saw me).

A rather lame 2 hrs 9 for me. My excuse was the 44lb Bergan and before P-T says anything I also had a party 7 overhanging my belt. Good day all round. At least I'll be able to pass my cft (or whatever they call it these days) next month.
We trained hard - but it seemed every time we were beginning to form up into teams we were reorganised.
I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganising, and what a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while actually producing confusion, inefficiency and demoralisation.
