Transferring files from old to new lappy. How?
Following on from my other thread I have files on my current lappy (Vista) that I want to copy/move onto the new one, also Vista.
But how?
Can I connect Ethernet to Ethernet & simply drag & drop?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers.

How many? A memory stick or external HDD (you do have a back up of your data, right?) would probably be the quickest and simplest .
‘Good God!’ he laughed, and slowly filled his pipe,
Wondering ‘why he always talked such tripe’.

Join them on a network using a hub or you can use a crossover cable and connect laptop to laptop. Alternetively burn all the data onto a dvd then at least you will always have a backup of your email contacts old emails etc.

Cheap as chips now and good for backups and portability. Used mine to transfer stuff onto old mans laptop.
