The mighty 50 missile have a reunion every year and this year is in Larkhill

Ref Gunner Reunions, there is an All Ranks Reunion on Sat 14 Jun 08 at Topcliffe. It is an evening do and very much a sort yourself out type of event!
All ex members of the Lolwland Gunners are very welcome. I'm not running with it but if anyone wants any int on the subject pm me and I will do what I can to get any details.

GNR40, it's a bit more than an evening do mate! Here's a programme that I saw a few weeks ago:
What is it?-
An opportunity for Regimental personnal to come together in a relaxing environment for a day of fun and competition. The main theme is that of a highland games with a central arena and activities taking place both in and out of this arena.
Location?- The golf course opposite the officers mess.
Who can attend?-Any serving and retired member of 40 Regt RA, including friends and family any age.
How much will it cost?-At present it will cost nothing apart from the cost of refreshment and food, a small charge will be required should you wish to have your photograph taken with a bird of prey.
What does it involve?-A day and night of fun starting at 1100hrs and finishing at 2359hrs. In detail the following will happen.
1100-1800hrs Daytime activities
Sporting competitions for soldiers and family members
Falconry display
Pipes and Drums
Children's Entertainer
Face Painting
Caricature
Equipment Diaplay
Adults Bouncy Castle
Pony Rides
Undercover Marquee with Regimental history and Battery Boards.
Help the Heroes stand
Plus more to be confirmed
1900-2359hrs Evening Activities
Disco
Adults Games
Children's Activities
Fireworks Display
Raffle
Money Tree
Is there refreshments and food?-There will be feeding available in the form of burger vans, ice cream stall, ham roast stands and a picnic area should you wish to bring your own. In addition ther will be a bar located in the main marquee with seating areas, both inside and out.
Can I get accommodation?-There will be a camping area formed to allow those personnel to stay over the opportunity to do so in tents/caravans, this will only be permitted in the designated area.A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check. I went to this, it was excellent. Next year is 25th anniversary of the Regiment going into suspended animation, so re-union should be even bigger and better.
