Re: Dortmund Flashback (Inside Bar!)
I know Scouse got out and went back to merseyside.I found out from other forums and Freinds reunited that he was working as a screw in Mamchester prison but I´ve had no luck getting a contact number. You must have been in Dortmund the same time as me,maybe we know each other.I was Taff Lambert back then(still am).

Re: Dortmund Flashback (Inside Bar!)
Just been browsing through with the boss, he mentioned the Muzik Zircus (formally know as central park), in Wambel. The huge 3 floor warehouse with different music styles.

Re: Dortmund Flashback (Inside Bar!)
Great memories.
I was a Troopy in 9 Bty in 12 in Moore Bks from 1979 - 81 when we arms-plotted to Kirton.
Mick Cotterill was a TSM then and a great guy.

Muzik Zirkus
Remember it vaguely -
Converted Ice rink containing:
Turnstile entrance - 99Pfg admission.
Main rink- mainstream Disco.
Learner rink - Indie Music.
9 Bars - all looked the same so it was too easy to get seperated post piss as it was always packed.
Gyros Grill.
Mini Cinema - no extra price.
Ice Cream Parlour.
Own pils (99 Pfg again) served in Grolsch type bottles.
Bouncers in yellow t-shirts.
Great nights - thanks for the memory prompt GQ - can your Boss rem. any othr details?

Re: Dortmund Flashback (Inside Bar!)
I remember Dortmund well I was in 36 Hvy AD Regt, 2nd Fd Regt RA, 19 Fd Regt RA, 27 Fd Regt RA and finally 16 Regt before I moved up country to 40 Regt and finally 3rd. Spent many a night in Time and the Kellar bar. Remember Stans bar and how he would change the name every time they put it out of bounds to the Embassy and the Muhlerstube. The downstairs pub and sitting on the 1920 tractor seats in the pub on the corner of the Dortmund markt square where they brewed the discoloured brew. Or having a trip around Dortmund Kronen brewery and being lathered by the time we would get on the mini bus to get back to the Brush and Shovel after having either a Mai Bock or a Stein bock. The Christmas markt drinkink the Nord see geist forgetting to blow out the flame and getting burnt lips. Or the BTY Bar lock ins in Dragons what fine days. Not to be missed and good memories.

Re: Dortmund Flashback (Inside Bar!)
Does anyone remember Stiffs Bar just around the corner from the Masterpiece on the Hellweg. There use to be a pub on the Korner Hellweg a lot of us use to frequent called the Korner Eck later to be known as Don Quioties

Re: Dortmund Flashback (Inside Bar!)
Yep Mellish have visited the Masterpiece myself several times. Have enjoyed the sofas in the back. The music was awesome as they had thousands of LPs that you could choose from. The Dortmund White Rats would frequent the Masterpiece and the Keller Bar down in Dortmund. They had a crazy Dutch DJ in the Keller Bar and a waiter that looked like lurch from the adams family Dietre was his name. I remember him selling beer and coke outside in the street after the place had been CS'd. Really great days

Re: Dortmund Flashback (Inside Bar!)
The Keller Bar-yet another top spot,we used to get a lift down on the backs of various motorbikes driven by some very bizarre people from the Masterpiece usually after midnight.
God bless those pagans
