    R.I.P Kev Bamforth

    Just got this message:

    some really sad sad news Kev died on teh 28th in Bahrain of a heart attack have no furhter details but please visit his page and post a message

    I knew him in 25 Bty, 19 Regt and he was on the OPs.

    Kev was a young gunner in 28bty when i left 19 regt.

    RIP Kev. I remember him as one of the Jnrs in 2 (Baker) Bty between '76 and '78.
    A war hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, High Chief of all the Vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside.

    Shocked! I served with Kev in 25/170 in Canada and on Mt Igman amongst other places. He was cynical b@stard but a real character and a first rate OP Ack. I seem to remember he moved back to the gun end to improve his career prospects.
