When I decided to go and set up home in another Country that’s when things got very difficult. If you don’t pay in your adopted Country’s National Insurance you will not receive the medication treatment you require for your Illness
Because it was so expensive for the medication and treatment abroad I decided to apply for re-reimbursement of the cost, It was in March 2011 I was awarded re-reimbursement of costs, this was after long e-mail to the SPVA & the British Embassy Hungary, telephone calls to the SPVA and British Embassy Hungary. This is an expense the tax payer could do with out.Its a unnecessary procedure that cause stress anxiety and all the other things that come along with it. ITS STUPID
So my mission is to bring this problem to light and make the ministry of defence aware of what a Veteran living abroad has to go through to get medication, treatment and reimbursement of the cost, and hopefully a veteran living overseas can get the best possible care.
