I read this today and thought IŽd pass it on. From: Regimental Colonel RHQ RTR Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2011 7:46 PM To: Regimental Colonel RHQ RTR Subject: RAC Sports - Hodson's Horse Trophy Gentlemen, Each year the RAC Regiments compete over four days in seven sports: football; rugby union and league; hockey; orienteering; cross country; and squash. Traditionally, the Royal Tank Regiment has always been well placed and often in spite of heavy external pressures (2 RTR winners in '07 - move from F'Bostel, plus 3 Sqns on ops). This year, albeit that certain RAC Regiments were not represented, the Regiment has swept the board. 1 RTR came first in rugby union, league and hockey, and second to 2 RTR in the remainder. 2 RTR came first in football, orienteering, x country and squash. Had it not been for a low result in hockey, the Trophy would have been theirs. As it was, the final positions depended on the outcome of the rugby union match between the two Regiments. The First took the match and, thereby, were overall RAC Trophy winners 2011. 2 RTR took second place. The remaining results were, in order: HCR; QRL; 9/12L; and SCOTS DG.
