Jsut ordered mine. Can't wait.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather, to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - chocolate covered strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'Woohoo - What a Ride!

Re: Empire Total war video
Well Ive fired the campaign up and bugger me is it in depth. So many choices to make , so much to manage. going to try and dominate the shipping lanes to the bahamas and make a killing on exports :D but to do that I need to research navy & cannon upgrades to fill in the pirates! The scope of this seems truly impressive.

I love the Mod Rome Total War
The screen shots on U-Tube looked great.
I think I may splash the cash for this too!
(Hopefully It will not need Mods to "work", like Barbarian Invasions did!)Who will help the Widow's Son?

Just purchased via steam. Download is 8hrs..
Having met Tropper66 I can say that he's actually a nice bloke for an old man that smells of wee and has more stories than a childrens library.

Re: Empire Total war video
I've played the demo - this is awsome. The scale of the battle was far better than anything in any of the TW's.
I'd certainly recommend this & it's so scalable that I had it playing (the demo) fine at 1950x1080 on my macbook (geforce 9400m) hooked up to an external monitor just fine.
Just waiting for my steam download to finish now :0)"The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt." - Bertrand Russell

Re: Empire Total war video
sat in Brunei, game is in the post from Play.com... fingers crossed it will be here by the weekend, but more likely next week :(
have played every incarnation to death since Shogun (ah, how rubbish that looks now!) and every add-on. think one of the most enjoyable was playing as the spanish in the americas add-on. slaughtering unarmoured natives with rifles and artillery - so wrong, but SO much fun :D
