Also, I'm not going to pay £110 for the collectors edition, would I be missing much from the in-game item shop?
With those specs, i'd stick to freecell.

WoW isn't anything even close to a Sandbox MMO, it is a theme park MMO the same as The Old Republic.

Edit due to pig tit fingers!

Just how much do I have to download? I've done about 14 gig so far, and it's got at least another 4.5 to go!

What's this game looking like, have the intial bugs (if any...) been sorted ?

I've played a fair few mmo's (started with SWG now that was a game) but I was put off this due to it looking like a single player gamer with co-op thrown in to please the masses, and get the "mmo" handle is this the case ?

Am having a great time - v.good story lines and a lot of fun - not rushing through it, no major problems though setting up took a while.

Its a fairly decent game at this stage in my opinion, it has a few bugs but none that have caused me any real problems so far (although you would think different reading the crying on the official forums, but thats part and parcel of an MMO). It does have a bit of a single player feel at times and the instanced worlds don't help that, many worlds feel quite empty but I would expect that to change a bit as more people hit the level cap (50), that is often the way.

Im enjoying the storyline but wouldn't expect anything less from Bioware, if there is anything they are good at its RPG storylines.

Levelling is quite quick and easy if you rush through it, the first lvl 50 I saw was 2days 11hours of game time, personally I am not rushing and have just reached level 35 and I started on day one of early access.

For me and MMO is made by the people I play it with, that will win me over far more than the game itself and I have been playing MMO's with the same guys for a few years.

Warzones are fun at times (again, my opinion). There are no level ranges so in theory you can have a level 10 (can't do PvP warzones before level 10) and a level 50 in the same warzone. However, they are using a 'bolster' system so all players stats are normalised, this won't compensate for the lack of actual skills on the lower level characters or the lack of points in your class advancement tree. You can level purely through PvP warzones if you want to also, I am doing that on another character and I am currently lvl 26 with him (doing just warzones and my class storyline quests).

Its not SWG, its not a sandbox MMO so don't expect to be able to do what you like. A themepark environment is required really if you want a detailed storyline as that storyline needs linearity to make sense.

Overall I think it has some potential and I will be playing it and seeing how it develops over the next six months or so at least.

Good review and generally what I feel Harry. As you say about the forums, the guys with no job or life that have hit 50 already are the ones that seem to be complaining the loudest. Everyone who is taking their time and actually enjoying the game instead of wanting to be the first to 50 seem to be really enjoying it.It's a very very young game, give Bioware time to add content as happens with every MMO and i think it'll be a great game.

I can't look it up at the moment due to the internet police at work, but I believe there is a content update coming in the next month (ish), sure I heard about it somewhere.
