I unlocked the L96 last night and I'm quite impressed with it. Coupled with an 8x scope, it is a formidable opponent to the SV98. Only ten kills needed for the Ballistic 12x scope too. I put the 12x scope on though, and it feels a bit different to the SV98. I think there might be more 'scope sway'.

Do you need to complete that biff sniper co - op mission to start the L96 challenge?

Nope, you need to unlock the QBU sniper rifle, which you get by obtaining 20 sniper kills and 5 Laser Designations with the SOFLAM. Then to get the L96, you need 50 Headshots [with any weapon I think], 50 spot assists and 5 knife takedown kills.

I think it has less power than the SV98 . 1 shot kills are head n neck for the L96 whereas I drop players with 1 to the chest from the SV. This comparison is above 100M shots

There is more sway as I see it as well

The bipod is a must
