I'm not liking how easy it is to get blown out of the sky in a helo now.... on further testing you don't get anywhere near the same amount of warning when in a helo nowadays and jets just rule the skies - they don't need to crash into you anymore!
Also, IGLA's and Stingers are now useless against jets, the range is TOO short now, and by the time you've lined up and got the lock the damn thing has flashed overhead and disappeared into the distance and out of range.
Had a great bit of teamwork on Firestorm last night though - got shot down near the americans spawn point and managed to guide the helo just into the non-restricted part. Me and my gunner (Engineer and him a sniper) set up shop just in a group of rocks, our other teamamte (assault) spawned on us and we worked as a team - I got the javelin out, my mate dropped a SOFLAM and the third kept me re-supplied. Went through 3x helo's, 3xMBT's, and two buggies before we got taken out. It's times like that, when the team works, that makes this game so much better as a multiplayer prospect!!RAC(TA) - 2006-2009

'Teamwork', maybe but you're exploiting the new patch. Taking advantage of the extremely weak tanks and helicopters with this 'hand of god' javelin.

I agree about the Jets. I got hit by a 1 second burst of cannon and it completely obliterated me. They're just God-like now.

I'm a helo pilot/tank driver by 'trade' on this game usually and if you read back you'll see i'm complaining about the dropping of tanks power (but they aren't as weak as has been made out, IR smoke is now your friend and just stand off) - check my battlelog if you doubt that but after the first time we blew a tank up they knew we were there, not our fault they just kept driving at the objectives and ignoring us. We were exploiting the advantages working as a team gives us. Which is kind of the point of the game...

I was a big user of prox. sensor in the tanks, to counter the pesky virtual suicide bombers with C4 or RPG guys hiding like rats behind things. IR smoke may be well and good but it only counters one specific threat, you leave yourself open to suicide bombers and RPGs now! To be fair, I was very good in tanks and could happily storm through most of the levels with just an engineer gunner support and win the map. Now, that won't be happening and my fallback into helis has been nerfed as well.
The patch hasn't balanced the game, it has just shifted the exploitable quirks.
