Just ran the CC Cleaner, freed up 997MB.

    Which was nice.
Bravo Bravo sets himself a depressingly low standard which he consistently fails to achieve.

To put it simply, you need to delete a shitload of crap and goodies off your hard drive and defrag the bastard so it can do it efficiently.
You also have to take into account degradation through it being fecking ancient, let alone relative perception from playing with other peoples tech.
To put it even more simply, spend a bit of cash and buy a new one you cheap feck :D

Heres a few tips I use

Keep drives defragged on a regular basis

Use msconfig to stop programs starting up which you don't need running in the background, they take up residual memory

Perhaps think about disk manager to create a seperate partition for your OS and another for your program installations and file downloads

Everything Grizzlypanda mentioned about old hardware holds true, grab a nice dual core base unit off ebay if your looking for something nice and cheap they cost peanuts now.

Until recently, a number of my friends bribed a computer nerd they know (that would be me) to turn up once a year and re-install their operating system and essential applications. I normally charge two bottles of vodka.

I have now sub-contracted this to my younger brother, who is even more of a nerd. I pay him one bottle of vodka
    Stupidity is like nuclear power.
It can be used for good or evil.
And you really don't want to get any on you.
