    Set up home network

I'm contemplating setting up a home network, both me and my son's computers are connected to my Sky broadband router by ethernet cables.
My computer is running Vista, whilst my son's is running XP. I'd like to set it up for ease of file sharing between computers and to do away with a printer as both computers have seperate ones. Is it possible? and if so is there a web link to an extremely thick as fuck mong guide!! :D

By jove, Eureka and crikey this works. This aint the NAAFI so I aint fcuking swearing, did you notice?

In our Vista PC there is a 'set up a home network' under Windows Help and home network, and also "'what you need to set up a home network'. At our Access Point we've got mobiles, Laptops and Desktops sucking the Broadband. Not bad for a bunch of IT numpties
