I'm still on 3.0.11 as I downloaded the Beta version of the Upgrade a few months ago and had major problems with the computer, I had to uninstall and get back to this version and lost quite a lot of programmes in the process, be good to know if no such problems exist in the new and improved Upgrade?

I've been playing with this now for the last 24hrs. No problems as of yet and it seems stable comapired with the bug ridden beta's (I had a similier experience to Gudulph) There are still a lot of add ons which have yet to be updated but give it a few weeks and most stuff should be updated.
No script and other browser security options i use are all working fine.

Cheers for the info guys. Not quite the technical masterpiece I was expecting, but never mind!

Version 4 of Safari, which was released a few weeks ago, also has private browsing and a very nice "Top Sites" page when you open a new tab.

Personally, I'm still sticking with Firefox but Safari and Opera are both nice browsers. MSIE is my last choice but still sometimes needed for websites using ActiveX plug-ins.

p.s. obviously I don't need to use such a feature as I have a perfectly legit browsing history.
My understanding of Firefox and private browsing is that history is stored in RAM, not on the harddrive. It's not that the data is automatically deleted, it's just lost because RAM is temporary storage which only hold data while an electric curent is flowing through it. Harddrives store data magnetically, and even if you erase the data, there may still be enough references to recover said data. The difference is that the data can never be recovered from RAM, whereas you could possibly (depending on other activity) undelete data from a harddrive.
Sounds like a waste of core resource to me. Not that browser history is going to take up vast amounts of space, like...

Cheers guys, have had it downloaded and installed since yesterday and it's all running fine, the Add-Ons you can very quickly add are excellent, I now have all the World Time Zones running at the bottom of the screen that I need to know and have contacts with...

The ability to change the look in seconds of the entire browser screen is excellent, the Torpical Beach scene makes you long to be there in a hammock mitt ice cold beer in hand and a Top Letch in front...
