Thread: Firefox 3 and Windows Vista compatability

It would appear that some people are having big problems when trying to use Firefox 3 when they have Vista installed, some however don`t, I unfortunately belong to the first group. No bother thought I, just install Firefox 2. All went well until recently, now I get constant reminders that Firefox 2 is allegedly no longer safe and not supported. What to do?

Try chrome, much better anyway.

Initially the browser opened for a few seconds and then closed, later it would not open at all. On looking through web for solutions the best one (that is the easiest) was simply to download FF 2. Apparently Mozilla is aware of the problem.
I wish that I had kept XP.

I run Vista and FF3 on occasions and have no problems. What is the extra variable that is giving you problems?

And edited to add - I second the swap to Chrome as well. V good.

What version of Vista are you running mate? I'm just checking mine now to see if I'm on FF2 or FF3 as I don't use it much but when I have I've been lucky and it's worked!
