Only moved on when I got oout, and didn't need their kind of cover. Made many claims, never had a problem. Started with them in '74 at Sandhurst: never found a better offer.

Only an eejit CEO would allow them to foul that kind of track record.

Entirely possible, I guess - but I would (a) give them the benefit of the doubt, in the first instance, and (b) pause for a moment and reflect on the fact that - in the interval since ABBA made their debut - British society has (as the PPI litigation and injury claim spam messages on my phobile mone attest) become sadly aggressive and deceitful where insurance claims are concerned.
