Re: WWFE (Worst War Film Ever)
Personally I hink he's a good actor.
And if the SEALS themselves say he portays them right, then who am I to argue.
Mind you, he does seem to be typecast as one. The Rock, Navy Seals, The Abyss etc etc.
I still think directors cut of AlienII is one of the finest sci-fi films ever.He had bought a large map representing the sea,
Without the least vestige of land:
And the crew were much pleased when they found it to be
A map they could all understand.

Re: WWFE (Worst War Film Ever)
Aaaah Aliens Two is a great film and I'm strangely attracted to Sigourney Wever mincing about in grey pants - sigh.

Agreed on A2. Been a while since I've seen The Rock. did he play one of the 'rogue' SF troops in blue urban or the 'good' SF troops in boring black?

Re: WWFE (Worst War Film Ever)
Two be honest both movies demonstrated teamwork from small teams (arcs, room clearance, movement) which I couldn't fault too much with my limited knowledge.
Brummie joke During the war, a British General visited an Army Hospital of the South Staffordshire Regiment.
Sensing a doom and gloom atmosphere he tried to rally the men by asking "Now you men didn't come here to die did you?"
To which Aynuk and Ayli replied " Na sur, way booth coomd ere yesterdie."

Yeah, I remember. Loads of 'you put your gun down, no you; don't point that thing at me.' Note to self, check if you've got it, if not go and buy!

Re: WWFE (Worst War Film Ever)
Earlier there were some top posts on the "training" films. Did no one have to sit through the mind bendingly boring film about body heat loss and how to wear the correct kit so you don't die of hypothermia. It was made more enjoyable by seeing David Jason in his keks! Great stuff that!
