Surely you should be at the crawl, instead?
Telling civvy whores that they are "civvy whores" may be big and clever, but it gets you in trouble!
I'm back baby!!!

I know it's a matter of taste...... but I don't consider there can possibly be a GOOD jazz pub. And before you question the quality of my taste, just remember that there are only two types of taste...... bad & mine.

Try looking in Time Out London alternatively Ronnie Scott's club -- Smokin'.
There's no chip on my shoulder. I'll tell you what there is though, three pips and don't you forget it.

Re: Good jazz PUBS in London query
Ronnie Scotts is the stereo typical one but is very expensive and rammed with people.
There is a Pizza Express in Soho that has a jazz bar in it so scoff and music at the same time.
Try Smolensky's On The Strand as they used to have a jazz bar in the basementLife should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather, to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - chocolate covered strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'Woohoo - What a Ride!

Re: Good jazz PUBS in London query
Your best bets Soho with the previously mentioned Pizza Express Jazz Club, Ronnie Scotts and "Jazz After Dark" on Greek Street.
Timing is everything. If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. If you're late, you're fucked.

Isn't there another Pizza Express that has jazz near to Hyde PArk?
