It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up,
As true today as in 1320.

I think Dominic West would be quite good. He's about 6 feet tall, and an old Etonian.

Were Hugh Laurie somehow to mate with Colin Firth, the resultant offspring would need only to:
- Grow a set of mutton chops;
- Take a crash course in Hindustani;
- Learn to swing a sabre;
- Learn to gallop;
- Learn to gallop a maiden;
- Visit a decent tailor for his Cherrypicker rig; and -
Voila!
Flashy is reborn.

I think Jude Law should be given the chance to redeem himself after murdering Alfie. He cuts quite a dash with a bowler and 'tache. Funnily enough, I've just remembered that Law played Flynn in The Aviator.

Fred Astaire ate my hamper!

If they should once obtain a connivance, they will press for a toleration, from thence to an equality, from an equality to a superiority, from a superiority to an extirpation of all contrary religions. John Pym 1584-1643.
I reserve the right to say what the fcuk I like. The serried ranks of headstones in Flanders, Normandy and elsewhere give me that right.

We can use the oritenal lassy in one of the films... Flashman and the Dragon.
How about the chappy who plays Sherlock in the new series 'sherlock'. The one with that guy from the office playing Dr Watson... or we could use Moriarty he was good.

Trying very hard but failing to hid the Cockney.
Not a bad call on Dominic West. Could he play Flashy in his younger years though - Afghanistan etc.
