The original is a breath of fresh air and this is a great and clever cover.

I did a search and nowt came up so apologies if this is a repost.

I have to say I prefer the original, this one just doesn't have the emotion Gotye puts into it.

Have a listen to Gotye's first album "Like Drawing Blood" which is very much in keeping with the style of "Somebody That I Used To Know". His latest album "Making Mirrors" is good, but the first album is much better.

Blonde is Sarah Blackwood. And she might even get it twice.

I'll have a look at his earlier stuff then - I've only heard this song of his.

I agree with you that the original has more power - what I liked about this is just using the one instrument. They said that when they recorded it, they only had the acoustic so they did each part on that. Still, a clever vid.
