"Jubilee" directed by Derek Jarman in 1977, is a critical statement about the celebrations for Lizzies Jubilee of the same year. Whilst it won't make anyones list for an oscar, i quite enjoyed it for it's quirky storyline, which centress around a group of psychotic punks. The plot is flimsy to say the least, and jumps all over the place, but does feature ElizabethI (Jenny Runacre) being transported through time by John Dee (Richard O'Brien) to take back the throne. ElizabethII has been murdered during a mugging, and Good queen Bess I, moves through the destroyed remains of modern Britain. Yes it is a bit cliched in it's punk perceptions of the UK, but probably the best thing about the film is that, the Anarchic Doyen of punk couture (DAME) Vivienne Westwood hated it, which is all the reason in the world for me to like it! It's other qualities are the amount of Bangers and Beavers exposed for no apparent reason whatsoever, oh and it features some excellent characters and artists of the time such as:
Little Nell. (Rocky Horror)
Jordan. (Pistols swastika wearing moll)
Toyah. (Singer)
Adam Ant. (Gun toting 80s Icon)
The Slits (Dirty Girlies)...Plus lots more faces from the period!
If you get to watch it, then don't expect too much and suspend your belief a lot because it really is something a little different!Come Mrs Gargery, let us have a taste of that savoury pork pie and see if we may do it some justice!!!

Gregory's Girl. Hilarious and accurate portrayal of 70s comprehensive school life. No violence whatsoever.

I think you'll find that all of the above are more "middle aged fat cunts having a mid life crisis" films than anything to do with Yoof.
Yoof don't watch films. They go on Battlefield94 or stab each other in car parks.
