Patriot Games. Highly realistic US take on the Troubles. Who would have thought that senior members of Republican splinter groups would sit & watch Harry's Game and be so fond of Enya?

I vaguely remember some made for TV film based around a para platoon patrolling some NI city in the eighties, was it part of the Screen 2 series on BBC2? There was a squaddie who topped himself with an SLR in the barracks, a riot scene where a young officer nearly got fragged and some special branch goings on intertwined - was a very long time ago but remember it being half alright

Game of thrones, a dark look at the troubles set in a alternative medieval universe. Ok I'm talking shite, but it Is filmed here in northern Ireland, and has Sean bean in it. Can't say I have ever seen a decent film about northern Ireland that doesn't include some sort of predictable universal northern Irish stereotype.
