Re: Favourite Films
Revolutionary Road with Winslett and DiCaprio... stomach churningly watchable and grimly truthful.
"As we moved slowly through the outskirts of the town we passed row after row of little grey slum houses running at right angles to the embankment. At the back of one of the houses a young woman was kneeling on the stones, poking a stick up the leaden waste-pipe which ran from the sink inside and which I suppose was blocked. I had time to see everything about her - her sacking apron, her clumsy clogs, her arms reddened by the cold. She looked up as the train passed, and I was almost near enough to catch her eye."

Re: Favourite Films
the Hurt Locker -
surprised and delighted with the film.. done in docudrama style... no big names [well a couple, but they get blowed up reel good near the beginning ]..
might have to add it to my collection when its released on DVD..ashamed to admit a US War Film seems to be accurate and done right ..complete with realistic explosions.. not one Bruckheimer moment in it...My Lesbian neighbours gave me a Rolex. I think they misunderstood when I said ' I wanna watch '.

anything will ferrell but top of the list step brothers pure childish comedy outright laughter
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for their tremendous support throughout my career and without whom I would not be standing here today. Also my agent, she's been my rock.
Do be careful though as Hector and his clique may descend upon you with their stock in trade proclamations of your inherent inferiority. And as it's the internet, they get off on it.

Re: Favourite Films
One of my favourites, Once Upon a Time in America, is to be released on Blu-Ray. Although I already have the collectors edition on DVD this is something I'll definitely be getting.
Any other fans of OUATIA out there?

Re: Favourite Films
Attempting to limit myself to a top 10 has been like pulling teeth, but here goes, with a bit of rationale as to why.
1. Lord of the Rings trilogy - Love the books, and its the best adaptation I've seen from page to screen.
2. The Last Emperor - Amazing story of Pu Yi, China's last 'royal', plus Bertolucci directed it.
3. Cinema Paradiso - Wonderful story, plus I love art house cinema
4. Shawshank Redemption - Best escape movie ever :D
5. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - the two hottest guys ever on the big screen
:D
6. The English Patient - great story
7. Indochine - Catherine Deneuve, one of the best actresses, plus a great movie
8. Life of Brian - funniest movie, especially after a hard day at the office
9. Rear Window - I love anything by Hitchcock
10. The Killing Fields - for once a war story told through civilian eyes, and a brilliant story of survival, not victimhood.

Re: Favourite Films
"A Complete History of my Sexual Adventures" on Film 4 now, a f**king modern day comedy classic, cant stop pi**ing myself, Chris Wall is the saddest f***er I have ever seen,LOL
And to think, I had no Idea I could bring so much fun and frivolity to others
There are two types of people that dislike me,
the envious and the stupid
HAPPY NOW
