Defiance starring Daniel Craig. Can't comment on realism, but it kept me entertained.

The Spirit. Not as good as Sin City IMO.

Borrowed from a French SNCO even with sub titles a bloody good film!
You probably would therefore enjoy the Hollywood version - 'Lost Command' (1966) with Anthony Quinn, Alain Delon, George Segal and Claudia Cardinale. Film centres on a similar theme starting at Dien Bien Phu and ending in Algeria with the nascent FLN.

    Any particular reason Pops?

From what I've seen of the film I thought the idea sounded good, it's just that films with Tom Cruise in tend to wind up just being about him and not any storyline

I've seen it. It's a good film, and actually quite factual for a change.

Watched 'Con Air' this afternoon, haven't seen it for quite a while. I'd forgotten that Nic Cage can sometimes do decent films.
