Apologies if either have been mentioned before, love both and never get tired of listening.
Johann Pachelbel - Canon in D Major

Written just weeks before his death.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Clarinet Concerto in A Major

I didn't say it was your fucking fault, I said I was blaming you.

A great film, just about to start on Channel 4, see it if you haven't already. If you have seen it, see it again.
Also available without Morgan Freeman talking over it.

Thanks for that, just had a quality moment, cranked that up on the speakers and turned the volume down on the snooker, snooker is so much more of a beautiful game without John Virgo spouting off :D

Re: Music for the soul
Coming into work on a cold and frosty morning, there's nothing like a bit of the old Ludwig Van to get the blood moving.
We need people who look to the stars, holding the nation and the world in their hearts but at the same time we need down-to-earth people who can do serious and trying work.
In a definite sense, a country's power and prestige isn't only a reflection of its economic power but also a reflection of its people's quality and morality. Moreover, I think the latter is actually more important in the long-term.

Nina Simone..."As we moved slowly through the outskirts of the town we passed row after row of little grey slum houses running at right angles to the embankment. At the back of one of the houses a young woman was kneeling on the stones, poking a stick up the leaden waste-pipe which ran from the sink inside and which I suppose was blocked. I had time to see everything about her - her sacking apron, her clumsy clogs, her arms reddened by the cold. She looked up as the train passed, and I was almost near enough to catch her eye."

This is a cracking thread and I do the same as you, reach for some music when I have just about had enough of the usual Ba Tau f uckwittery! In particular the Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 26. Sorry dont have a link.
