I started boxing 2 months ago and seem to have taken to it rather... A bit of a random question but I was just hoping to get a general opinion.

I started boxing 2 months ago and seem to have taken to it rather well. I have been entered by my trainer into a big white collar event in July which will be in front of several hundred people. Having only just started, and as ever being short of funds, I dont own any gear yet apart from some cheapo gloves.*

I had the idea the other day that it might be worth approaching my employers for some sponsorship. I never thought it would come to any fruition, as despite working for one of, if not the largest private companies in the world, they are notoriously shitty to work for, and rarely help staff with anything.
However!!!! They have actually said they want to discuss the idea and costs, ( call me a cynic but im sure its purely for the advertising and publicity) and so im now wondering how best to go about getting the most out of them :-) im looking at it as the bonus that in 5 years working for them, ive never had.
So how best do you think I should go about it?

Jimmy still has some way to go to catch Ian Botham, but if he keeps fit, he could reach the target. Whatever happens, he has confirmed his place among the best bowlers in the game.
As for the test against NZ, although it is slow going, it is turning out to be a bit of a cracker. A group of 8 of us from Norwich Rugby Club, young and older heads, are heading to Twickenham Saturday morning for two days of rugby and beer. Sadly we've had a drop out due to a family bereavement, hence one space is up for offer.

The theme for the weekend is safari fancy dress, and for £70 you will get:-
Return rail travel from Norwich
Entry into Twickenham on Saturday and Sunday
A space to sleep (3 men to a double room I believe) in a travel lodge on Saturday night.

The plan is to go out on the lash in Richmond after the rugby on Sat night, so beer tokens will also be needed.

If the rail travel isn't required £45 will cover the other costs.

Please let me know if you are interested, it would be a shame to have an empty seat.
