General Question relating to my own skill base (not a recruiting question - just being nosey really)

I am a Claims Consultant specialising in Construction Dispute Resolution, knowing that the Royal Engineer's have a broad experience in building just about anything (but being ex-RN, I'm not sure what outwith what Wikipedia tells me), but also aware that civilian contractor's may be employed to perform construction/installation/fit-out tasks - what contracts are normally used and how is dispute resolution performed (the contract may - and probably will - have the likes of adjudication or arbitration clauses) and who does the Army (and I suppose the other arms) turn to when these kinds of dispute need a form of resolution?

Like I said, just a nosey bugger asking a question, so no obligation to answer it and no reward save for a 'Thank You'.

Hi all. I'm very aware you've had these questions loads of times so I'll try and get to the point. I'm an Electronic Warfare Systems Operator but I'm wanting to transfer to the RMP. I'll probably bring it up to my chain of command in about a years time. Main reason being I don't see many properly transferrable skills in my current job and I want to be a civvy copper when that fateful day comes. I have the academic quals required however my main questions are:

How easy would it be to transfer for someone in a pinch-point trade like myself?

How long does the transfer process take from start to finish (I'm aware its very case-by-case but just a rough estimate will do)

Who do I approach for such a thing? I've never had to do anything like this and have no experience, I assume I just start with my troopie?

Regarding the troopie, he isn't the easiest person to work with. My main fear being that he'll chin me off with some spiel like 'stop thinking about the f**king RMP and concentrate on your job.' Who should I move to in such a case?

Sorry for any questions that may seem bone to you old sweats, just interested!

Thanks all.

I have AGC Mess Dress that I'm looking to sell, its in decent nic (a small tear at the top of the waistcoat that has been professionally repaired). Anyone any ideas what I should ask for it? Not selling it here, selling it privately so by all means suggest stupidly (couldn't spell redicously) low prices it won't get you anywhere, I just want a decent price but be fair to the guy who wants to buy it.

Checked the search function and not found anything so thought I'd ask here.

I'm a TA recruiter in a subunit. We have had a phase 1 trained soldier transfer over to us who wants to go AGC. Can someone give me a link (DII or web) or PM me with details of which courses they need to do, what their career structure would be, who I need to ask for more info etc.

I would ask the PSI (before anyone suggests it) but being in a combat arm, this is first for us - we havent had a TA AGC clerk for the last decade.
