Just come into posession of a Peter Archer print which the person who gave it to me thought might be of the Falkland Islands but I doubt it and think it might be Balkans.

The print depicts a snow covered hilly terrain with a Royal Signals soldier in the foreground on a manpack radio, a couple of relay bods erecting a PU 12, a few other small dets and in the background a large commercial comms tower covered in sat dishes. The soldiers are all carrying what look like SA 80's. Can anyone ID this for me please?

Does anyone know of an open-source or free application available for radio path prediction for LOS?

It would be extremely useful if it could work from UTM co-ordinates, but even if it requires manual entry of distance, intrusion, ground, elevation, foliage, terrain etc. I would still be interested.

Sadly I can calculate all this crap manually, but it takes so long.

Gracias!

First I would like to know how dates and spaces for certain cap badges are generated and how often, secondly when might the Royal Signals be having their next intake for EW Op, how regular are their intakes etc?

If any one can advise me on any of this, I would be very grateful.

Thought this was sad, so if you live nearby, can you spare an hour?
LAYING TO REST AN OLD SOLDIER. THIS WAS SENT TO US TODAY. CAN ANYONE HELP?
My name is Christopher Homer and I am the home manager of Marmion Nursing Home which is located in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
I am writing to ask your advice as we have just lost a resident of ours aged 89 years. He has been in our home for 21 years and has passed having no family members or next of kin.
As a young man he served in the forces as a marine and was honoured with the veterans badge that he treasured very much and loved nothing more than listening to old time songs that took him back. As he has no family members his funeral will be attended by staff from the home only. I therefore ask if there is a way of contacting veterans in our area who may wish to pay their respects to a fellow serviceman.

Funeral will be on April 12th at 1330 in Tamworth.

If you can help and wish to contact me you can do so by calling 01827 67953 .

Thank You

Christopher Homer.

Do any of you chaps have a spare spanner and/or set of guy pegs for one of these beasts you dont need/want?

I'd be grateful to take them off your hands!

(I also havent got the base insulator, base plate pegs, or the carrying bags, but can live without those)
Ive tried all the usual surplus places and drawn a blank.
