Re: Forces in the frame for Ipswich murders?.......
I reckon they've been reading the Pinochet thread on here. There was disturbing support from one or two Arrsers for a person who killed and tortured in order to forge a 'better' society for future generations...
Any comments Awol? Which bit of the country do you live in, incidentally? Are you venturing out tonight, or p'raps lying low and submitting more posts than usual for a while? Cheers.

Re: Forces in the frame for Ipswich murders?.......
Journos have been puzzling over the best description for the killer to use in headlines. 'Suffolk Ripper' is considered too derivative and factually wrong (the 'Yorkshire Ripper' was a bad description too, as he favoured a ballpeen hammer rather than cutting bits out.)
After ruling out 'The Combine Whorevester', favourite so far apparently is 'The Suffolkator'...

Re: Forces in the frame for Ipswich murders?.......
It reminds me of a CSgt who whilst on a cordon in Carrickfergus, was approached by a very young Trevor Mcdonald who tried to get past. When he was told he could not get through he went mental and said "Its because I am Black isn't it?". The press are tossers. When on a cordon myself the BBC camera crew tried to get past and the presenter said "go on its OK you can let us through" wnakers

Re: Forces in the frame for Ipswich murders?.......
I've got the solution! Get Gil Grisom over from CSI, he'll have it solved in an hour (he always does in the TV series).

Re: Forces in the frame for Ipswich murders?.......
This is the trouble. The media (and general public) seem to think even the most dastardly of crimes can be solved within an hour (including adverts) and expect reality to mimmick fiction. If after a few weeks, this murderer hasn't been caught, the press will be demanding the head of the Suffolk Police on a plate.
