    just saw this topic listed just above:
    "coppers battering lcpl"
    so Dr_Chris's comment a cautious warning.

    Perhaps if the police want and expect help
    maybe they should make some serious
    efforts to route out the bad apples.

    No chance of any assistance to the police from me without a very much clearer exposition as to the reason why.

    The reason the police URGENTLY need to contact the member of the Armed Forces that assisted is that he may have been exposed to a serious health and safety hazard at the scene of the RTA and may be himself at risk. This was discovered following the post-mortem of the deceased.
