Yeah that was my first thought, but according to them ...

Many, but not all, of the moves were manageable wearing combat dress and a rifle which could be held on a sling, Lerwill said. Since their initiation, the marines have practised on the streets of Exeter and established a Royal Marines Parkour Club.
Of course "combat dress" could mean just jim-jams sans body armour, webbing, day sack etc.
..or a nice little pink, off-the-shoulder cocktail dress with stockings, suspenders and matching high heels?

Ah, the green eyed monster rears it's ugly head at the thought of Royals sartorial elegance .
Anything which relieves the boredom of fitness training, "What another 10 miler?" has got to be good.
Street fighting with bergans on a likely scenario? But even so Assault vest, body armour, rifle, size 10 boots and helmet would seem to preclude leaping about with the grace of a speeding gazelle.

Parkour uses alot of old jap martial arts tried and tested stuff to get up on roofs and such. esp with rolling out of hard landings.

Anyway, it should be amusing to see plod in exmouth chasing these drunk buggers around the roof of Sams.

More importantly, could they Free Run while stark b0llack naked apart from a roll mat on each arm?

Good to see the Booties, despite being bloody good at what they do, are not too proud or big-headed to give things like this a serious look - even if it turns out to be arrse on ops (which I doubt) they are right to experiment - who else would try?

Think my concern would mostly lie in the danger of abrasion and possibility of entrapment whilst 'tackle out..'

It was started as just a bit of a gimmick, some PR, like celebs/rugby players doing the endurance course etc

But if it helps smudge get the feck over a wall a bit quicker when the nasty men are putting the rounds down its all good

The loss of manpower due to run ashore drunken gymnastics should be looked at though LOL

Change and development, open minds and lateral thinking are surely a good thing

Wasn't that long ago that knee pads and gloves were pooh hoo'd as a bit gay
